Description
Hal Flowers is looking for a conlang expert to create two languages for his first sci-fi graphic novel. The graphic novel itself is in early writing stages, and the author is planning on working on it for several years, during which he hopes to develop a long-term collaboration with the hired conlanger.
The job itself will consist in developing:
- A full conlang with 1000-1500 lexical items;
- An unrelated naming language from a different linguistic family, with a completely different sound from the afore-mentioned language.
The languages will be spoken by alien species on an alien world, not related in any way to Earth or Earth languages. The languages should reflect that fact.
The employer is looking for an enthusiastic collaborator willing to get familiar with the aliens’ cultures so as to give them a fitting voice. After delivery of the languages, he hopes to further the collaboration with additional work, for which compensation will be negotiated (please contact the employer for more information). Besides the graphic novel itself, he hopes to publish a companion book, possibly including language lessons.
